If you read my blog, you know what a fan of bone broth I am. It's not only a superfood that provides collagen and amino acids naturally to our bodies, but a healthy and delicious ingredient to enhance my recipes. So I'm always trying to find new ways to use it.

I recently discovered that you can even use bone broth to make cocktails! The one that I've been obsessed with is the Bloody Bull cocktail.
WHAT IS A BLOODY BULL?
If Bloody Mary is your cup of tea, you might have heard of Bloody Bull and Bullshot since they are all savory cocktails. If not, don't worry. Let me explain.
Bloody Bull is said to be the creation of Brennan's Restaurant in New Orleans. It's basically a Bloody Mary enriched with beef broth. Here's why a Bloody Bull is Better Than a Bloody Mary.
BLOODY MARY, BULLSHOT, AND BLOODY BULL: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
The easiest way to learn the differences among these three similar savory drinks is to take a look at their ingredients.
Bloody Mary
Bloody Mary is traditionally made with vodka, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, hot sauce, lemon juice, lime juice, and freshly ground black pepper. It's usually served in a highball glass.
Bullshot
A Bullshot is much simpler and straightforward. It calls for only three ingredients – vodka, beef bouillon or beef consommé, and Worcestershire sauce. No tomato juice, no seasonings required. Bullshots are normally served in old-fashioned glasses. Sometimes, in highball glasses too.
Bloody Bull
A Bloody Bull contains everything that a Bloody Mary has, plus the beef element from a Bullshot. If I were to describe the differences among those three drinks in one sentence, here's how I'd start.

Now that we are all clear about each member's character in this "bloody family," let's talk about the Bloody Bull a bit more.
If you are sold on giving it a try by now, I have one suggestion – replace the beef broth with beef bone broth in your cocktail for a few reasons.
Pack your Bloody Bull with umami flavor.
A real beef bone broth is slow-simmered for more than 20 hours, bringing out the tart and rich flavor from the bones and added vegetables and herbs. Unlike a regular beef broth or beef stock, it's much thicker and tastier.
Load up your Bloody Bull with essential nutrients.
Beef bone broth is known for its health benefits. It's rich in collagen, protein, amino acids which are great for our digestive system, joint, skin, and overall health. So why not use it in your favorite cocktail?

I don't know about you. But when I make my Bloody Bull with beef bone broth, I feel like I enjoy the cocktail even more because I know that I am getting all those essential nutrients from my booze. No guilt. Just sit back and relax.

Ingredients

For the glass rim:
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
For the cocktail:
- 4 ounces Kettle & Fire Beef Bone Broth
- 2 ounces Vodka
- 4 ounces tomato juice
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon horseradish
- pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- 1 dash hot sauce such as Tabasco or Cholula
- celery stalk, jalapeño slices, and lemon wedges for garnishing
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients for the glass rim on a plate. Wet the rim of a highball glass with a lemon wedge and dip the rim in the seasonings. Fill the glass with fresh ice cubes.
- Combine all cocktail ingredients except for the garnish in a cocktail shaker over ice, and shake gently to blend.
- Strain over ice into the prepared highball glass. Garnish with a celery stalk, jalapeño slices, and a lemon wedge. Tada! Cheers!
